Cables

Today all professional grade systems use Coaxial Cable, Twisted Pair (UTP) or Fiber Optic to transmit the video from the camera to the recorder. The choice of transmission video depends on a distance, environment, and cost. The maximum distance the cameras can be from the recorder is a function of the cable rather then the camera itself. Cable is available in 500 feet, 1000 feet boxes or pre-made cables in various lengths from 25 feet to 200 feet.
